UK-JHF HEI Collaboration with Louisville Ballet Releases Study Guide
Over the course of the past year, members of the UK-JHF Holocaust Education Initiative collaborated with the Louisville Ballet to create the A Time Remembered Study Guide containing interdisciplinary lesson plans for both middle and high school educators. This online resource drew Stephen Mills' Light/The Holocaust & Humanity Project, a ballet baed on the life and legacy of Holocaust survivor Naomi Warren, into conversation with primary source materials.
Exploring difficult subject matter in the classroom can be a challenge. But art is a powerful tool and can help represent the human condition in nuanced and deeply impactful ways. This study guide can support teachers and students as they explore the life of a Holocaust survivor through both historical sources and artistic interpretation. Access the free study guide here.
