CINCINNATI – The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center is thrilled to name Kimberly Thompson this year’s Lilly & Mark Kurtz Educator Award recipient. The Lilly & Mark Kurtz Educator Award is dedicated to teachers who are committed to Holocaust education, ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust inspire action today. The Holocaust & Humanity Center educated more than 15,000 students in the last school year.

Thompson has been an educator for more than two decades and serves as a teacher librarian at Bullitt County Public Schools. Holocaust lessons in her library focus on not only teaching students the complex history of how and why this happened, but empowering them to be upstanders moving forward.

Thompson is a former teacher leader and current regional network lead for the University of Kentucky-Jewish Heritage Fund Holocaust Education Initiative and we are are so proud of our teacher partner.
