We collaborate with teachers to assist them in teaching about the Holocaust and other genocides as mandated by the Fred Gross Holocaust Education Act. We invite public or private school educators to work with us by attending virtual seminars or collaborating locally. Each seminar runs for 90 minutes from 6 p.m.- 7:30 pm Eastern Time. They are facilitated by teachers and other scholars who have demonstrated excellence in the topic as well as pedagogical creativity and effectiveness. Participants should expect an interactive experience that they can mirror with their students, and that values and highlights their experience. Local collaboration takes many forms, and we encourage you to contact us to learn more.
Kentucky educators may earn a $250 stipend for completing 10 hours of work and a reflection. Seminars may be combined with local, in-person support. We have teachers throughout the state who are forming local learning communities to nurture collaborative planning, lead content exploration, and share effective instructional strategies. When registering for a seminar, educators will have the option of requesting access to this type of cohort support. Educators who complete fewer than 10 hours may earn professional learning credit.
